The Proposed Historic District of Lincoln University

In 1985, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission determined that 15 buildings on Lincoln University's campus (pictured on this page and the home page) were eligible for recognition as the "Lincoln University Historic District" on the National Register of Historic Places. LUHI, a Pennsylvania non-profit organization founded by Lincoln University alumni, wishes to assist the University in submitting a successful nomination for the national honor and in creating a robust historic district that will bring jobs and tourism to the campus community and geographic region and preserve the important legacy of America's first Historically Black College and University (HBCU) for generations to come. Place mouse over each photo below for building name and date it was built.
